Match Review

On the eve of the prestigious Gerald Micklem, and after much rain throughout the preceding days, blue skies greeted the Society and the School for our annual match at Woking.

With our first tee off time at 12.30pm, eight of us of us met in the bar for G&Ts at 11am to greet the Boys and their Masters.  A most convivial lunch followed, in time for a prompt tee off by both Captains of the School and ORGS.

Following the School’s Plate success in 2016 and a significant number of leavers, the School featured a relatively inexperienced side compared to previous years.  Whilst hopeful that this bodes well for the future, the ORGS ran out the convincing winners by four points to two.
